Zoom Training sessions – Data Protection

CPD for Teachers is committed to preserving the integrity of your personal data.

All data will be treated in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations set out in the Data Protection Act, 2018. CPD for Teachers Data Protection Policy can be viewed here: [link]

On line training courses and webinars use the Zoom software. CPD for Teachers certifies that they have examined Zoom’s Data Protection Policy: https://zoom.us/gdpr and signed the Data Processing Addenda: https://zoom.us/docs/doc/Zoom_GLOBAL_DPA.pdf. Users should make themselves aware of Zoom’s Privacy Policy: https://zoom.us/privacy.

Users can adjust their “cookies” if they have concerns about how Zoom uses data. First time Zoom users will see a popup for cookie settings when they first visit the Zoom link, they should click on “Cookie Settings” and adjust cookie settings accordingly (probably to “Required Cookies” only); existing Zoom users can change their cookie settings by clicking on the “Cookie Preferences” link from the Zoom website (at the bottom in the footer) and can also view the Zoom Cookie Policy: https://zoom.us/cookie-policy.

The sessions will be recorded for quality and monitoring purposes. They will be deleted after a period of eight working days. Recordings will not be made available to attendees or to any other party.

During a Zoom session attendees will be able to see each other, their names, organisations and be able hear each other. They may also be able to see the attendees surroundings which may include other people in the background or information, unless they use a “virtual background”: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/210707503-Virtual-Background.

Successful application and acceptance for a place on an online Course or Webinar, whether paid or free, is conditional on your having read, understood and accepted the foregoing.
